Harry Waldock is living the dream, but keeping his feet firmly on the ground as he continues to impress in the Gillingham midfield.
Waldock was drafted into first-team action after early-season injuries to Armani Little and Zane Albarus, and the 19-year-old has been one of the top performers in Gareth Ainsworth’s side this season.
The Gillingham FC Academy product was named Man of the Match as the Gills ran out 3-0 winners over Bristol Rovers at Priestfield on Saturday, and talking to Gills TV after the game, Waldock said the nature of the team’s victory highlights how the squad is already gelling at this early stage of the campaign.
