Former Gillingham striker Marcus Wyllie has quickly found a new club following his release by the club after it was announced that he had signed with National League side Aldershot Town.
The Cyprus-born front man signed his first full-time professional contract at Gillingham after hitting the goals in non-league football with Enfield Town. But the leap up to League 2 football proved to be a tough challenge for the forward, who found regular first-team football hard to come by during his time with the club.
Wyllie made 27 appearances across all competitions for the Gills, scoring three goals and assisting for two more. Late in his Gillingham career, he was loaned out to Ebbsfleet United, where he made seven more appearances, scoring once.
