Gareth Ainsworth welcomes fresh selection headaches as key players return to fitness ahead of Rotherham clash

MATCHDAY 10: After an injury-plagued start to the season, Gareth Ainsworth is starting to get more of his players back fit, and he’s ready to make the big decisions as he looks to turn the Gills into genuine League Two contenders.

Given Gillingham’s remarkable run of injuries so far this season, manager Gareth Ainsworth could be forgiven for thinking he’s had to manage almost with one hand tied behind his back so far this season. But the tide may finally be starting to turn in his favour as he prepares for his team’s 10th league game of the campaign.

Gillingham head north to take on Rotherham United at New York Stadium on Matchday 10, and the Gills boss is beginning to get some of his key players back fit again.

Last weekend against Newport County, he was able to call upon the likes of former captain Armani Little and key playmaker Bradley Dack from the bench as the two experienced midfielders returned to the first team after long spells out.
