Gillingham extended their undefeated run to five matches as they claimed their first home win of the campaign with a deserved 2-0 victory over previously unbeaten Tranmere Rovers. Goals from defender Logan Dobbs and striker Ronan Hale secured all three points in a performance full of energy and endeavour for the full 97-minute duration at Priestfield.
Gillingham started with a re-jigged lineup, with Ronan Hale leading the line, and James Brophy providing support from an advanced midfield role. Eli King came into the midfield for his first home Gills start, and joined Robbie McKenzie and Harry Waldock in a midfield triumvirate that dovetailed well throughout the 90 minutes.
