Gillingham's summer rebuild is far from over, with boss Gareth Ainsworth looking at adding three more players before the summer transfer window closes at the start of September.
The Gills were already in the market for players after selling Sam Gale to Barnsley earlier this summer. Then, when newly-appointed club captain Liam Gordon went down with what looked like a serious knee injury, the need for another defensive option became all the more important.
Then, just yesterday, we had the news that striker Seb Palmer-Houlden had been sold to Scottish Premiership side Motherwell for an undisclosed fee.
