There's no secret that Gillingham FC are in the middle of an early-season injury crisis, and the next week will be crucial to the club's chances this season as they look to plug gaps created by injuries to key players.
The latest injury setback looks like being the worst. Kadeem Harris fell to the turf during Gillingham's 0-0 draw at Fleetwood, and immediately it didn't look good. The reaction from the player as he received treatment, then got carried off the field, spoke volumes.
After the match, it was subsequently confirmed that our new summer signing had ruptured his ACL. Even allowing for a swift, setback-free rehabilitation, that's several months before he can even resume training. Most likely, he's done for the season.
